📰 News Highlights:

Sweden Eyes Bitcoin Reserve [Source][Source][Source][Source]

Sweden’s opposition Sweden Democrats have proposed establishing a national Bitcoin reserve, positioning it as a safeguard for sovereignty, financial resilience, and protection against inflation.

Lawmakers Dennis Dioukarev and David Perez argue that Bitcoin’s fixed supply and global liquidity make it a modern equivalent to gold. The proposal urges the government to assign oversight to either the Riksbank or Ministry of Finance.

If approved, Sweden would be the first Nordic nation to adopt a Bitcoin reserve, joining a growing trend of countries exploring digital assets.

The U.S. has already used seized Bitcoin for its federal reserve, while Kazakhstan and Finland hold state-managed reserves. The Finance Committee will review the proposal this month, potentially setting a precedent for European digital asset policy.

Shutdown Delays Altcoin ETFs [Source][Source][Source]

The U.S. government shutdown has forced the SEC to halt reviews of over 90 pending crypto ETF applications, including those for Solana, XRP, Cardano, Litecoin, and Dogecoin.

Analysts had predicted Solana ETFs could be approved in early October, but that timeline now seems unlikely as regulators operate only on “non-emergency” support.

The pause comes despite surging ETF demand following the success of Bitcoin and Ethereum funds, with BTC ETFs holding $150B AUM and ETH ETFs at $22B.

While the shutdown delays approvals, crypto markets reacted calmly, with Solana even rising 6%, suggesting investors remain optimistic about long-term growth.

Doodles xFroot Loops [Source][Source][Source][Source][Source]

Ethereum NFT collection Doodles has partnered with Kellogg’s Froot Loops to release 500 limited-edition cereal boxes featuring Doodles’ pastel characters.

Priced at $50 each, the boxes included a digital collectible minted on Coinbase’s Base layer-2 network, and they quickly sold out, highlighting strong demand.

CEO Scott “Burnt Toast” Martin described the collaboration as a cultural push, aligning with Froot Loops’ nostalgic appeal while repositioning Doodles as an accessible, creative brand.

Despite NFT prices dropping, fans praised the mainstream exposure, reinforcing Doodles’ strategy of bridging digital art and pop culture through partnerships.

Melania Pushes Meme Token [Source][Source][Source]

First Lady Melania Trump promoted her MELANIA memecoin in an AI-generated video, reigniting controversy amid allegations of $10M in insider team token sales.

Blockchain trackers accuse the project team of quietly offloading tokens, with recent sales suggesting a structured dollar-cost averaging strategy.

Since launching in January, MELANIA has crashed over 98% from its $13.73 peak, now trading around $0.18. Co-creator Hayden Davis, linked to multiple failed tokens, has fueled skepticism.

Despite Melania’s promotional efforts, analysts remain doubtful about the project’s integrity given repeated insider sell-offs.

💡 Feature of the Day:

Telegram Wallet Adds Stocks [Source][Source]

Wallet in Telegram has partnered with Kraken and Backed to offer tokenized versions of U.S. equities and ETFs via its xStocks platform. At launch, users can access stocks like MicroStrategy and Nvidia, with plans to expand to over 60 tokenized assets by year-end.

Initially available on the custodial Wallet in Telegram, xStocks will extend to the self-custodial TON Wallet in Q4 2025.

Fully collateralized and compliant, the offerings will roll out first in emerging markets. Commission-free trading will last until 2025’s end, positioning xStocks as a regulated entry point for tokenized equities.
