Pastor $6M Crypto Fraud [Source][Source][Source][Source]

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has accused Francier Obando Pinillo, a pastor in Washington state, of operating a $6 million crypto Ponzi scheme targeting 1,500 victims, including his congregants.

The scheme allegedly promised guaranteed returns of nearly 35% through a fake trading platform called Solanofi.

From 2021 to 2023, Pinillo misrepresented himself as the CEO of various companies and fabricated account statements to lure investors.

The CFTC claims no actual trading occurred, and funds were misappropriated.
