📰 News Highlights:
President Trump has announced plans for a US Crypto Strategic Reserve, initially focusing on Bitcoin but later including Ether, XRP, Solana, and Cardano.
This shift sparked debate, with Bitcoin advocates questioning the inclusion of altcoins.
The announcement briefly boosted Bitcoin’s price but led to a drop in its market dominance.
I get the rationale for a Bitcoin reserve. I don't agree with it, but I get it. We have a gold reserve. Bitcoin is digital gold, which is better than analog gold. So let's create a Bitcoin reserve too. But what's the rationale for an XRP reserve? Why the hell would we need that?

Industry experts, including Casa CEO Nick Neuman, argue that only Bitcoin makes sense as a strategic reserve asset, while others believe altcoins will eventually phase out in favor of Bitcoin.
The only crypto asset that makes any logical sense whatsoever as part of a country’s strategic reserve is Bitcoin.
You keep a reserve of finite supply assets because of their scarcity.
Infinite supply digital assets - especially ones with zero utility - do not fit the bill.

Critics, including Bitwise’s Jeff Park, view the altcoin inclusion as a political miscalculation, while figures like Pierre Rochard predict the reserve will eventually be Bitcoin-exclusive.
Huge political miscalculation by Trump in underestimating just how crucial it was for the Strategic Reserve to focus solely on Bitcoin.
Sad!

The FBI has been working with exchanges and blockchain firms to block the hackers’ transactions, identifying 51 Ethereum addresses linked to them.
Despite efforts to halt the laundering, the hackers have been converting funds into Bitcoin and stablecoins through decentralized exchanges and crosschain bridges.
