While some see the potential token as a money-making opportunity, critics argue it could worsen crypto's speculative culture.

The company hasn’t commented officially, fueling further confusion.
PumpFun has ruined crypto space, turned altcoin investors into memecoin gamblers, extracted $700 million while 99.99% people lost money and now they are planning to raise $1 Billion at $4B valuation.

Influencers and analysts remain divided, with some excited for potential listings on exchanges like Hyperliquid, while others say the platform has already done more harm than good.
It's good for making money, if you're skilled.
But, net/net - it's bad for crypto. Period.
Most people aren't trenching - they just buy and hold, and have felt the indirect adverse effects of Pump Fun (dilution, faster rotations, ppl getting burnt and leaving, listings etc.)

Critics question the need for more funding if the platform already holds nearly $700 million in revenue.
why does pump need to raise 1bn tho? how is it gonna invest that for growth if it already has made 675m and hasnt spent that either
what are they planning to do with 1bn?

While Magic Eden and the TRUMP token team promoted the wallet launch, both Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump said the Trump Organization had no connection to the product and warned against unauthorized use of the family name.
The Trump Organization has zero involvement with this wallet product. @EricTrump and I know nothing about it. Stay tuned—World Liberty Financial @worldlibertyfi, which we have been working tirelessly on, will be launching our official wallet soon.

Even Barron Trump made his first X post to distance the family from the wallet.
To be clear, our family has zero involvement with this wallet.

Despite this, the wallet’s website and promotional materials continue to reference Trump’s name.
💡 Feature of the Day:
Coinbase has asked a federal court to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Oregon’s attorney general, calling it a “copycat” of the SEC’s earlier case.
In its motion, Coinbase argued that the state is overstepping by attempting to regulate crypto at a federal level and that such matters should be handled in federal court.
.@coinbase seeks to move the OR AG’s lawsuit to federal ct bc the case is fundamentally about federal law. The AG would undermine recent bipartisan progress towards crypto clarity by creating a patchwork of state regulations that harms consumers, innovation, and economic freedom.

The company claims Oregon's suit, filed after the SEC dropped its own case, challenges national regulatory frameworks and creates legal fragmentation.
Not all regulatory land grabs ended in 2025. Because Oregon’s claims raise fundamentally federal issues like the meaning of “ investment contract,” they should be resolved by federal courts.

Oregon AG Dan Rayfield alleged that Coinbase sold unregistered securities and exposed consumers to fraud and manipulation.
